The Last of the Snow at Children 1st @ Birstall

Have we seen the last of the snow for 2021? Who knows, but the children at Birstall made the most of the recent heavy snowfall to get outside and have some fun.

They really enjoyed the opportunities for a different kind of outdoor play presented by the snow. The play areas were all transformed into a beautiful white wonderland and the children were soon very busy.

They made an amazing snowman with coloured buttons, slid down the snowy slide, made snow angels and marks in the snow! Even just holding the cold snow in their hands was a wonderful sensory experience.
