At Newark, we are so lucky (and envied by our sister nurseries!) to have such a wonderful outdoor space where our children at Newark can play and experience that unrivalled sense of freedom that you get from running through the grass or rolling down a slope! Since the nursery opened 15 years ago we have ensured that our outdoor space, as well as our indoor space, is what makes us special. Our huge fort that allows our children to view the world from a higher perspective is a hit and is often Robin Hood’s fort, the king’s castle or even a rocket ship.

The opportunities for children to learn how things grow in their herb garden and how to build a den in the forest school provides endless scope for their skills to grow and develop. One of our favourite things to do is make music under the trees where we can be as creative (and loud!) as we like. We are now able to bring our learning outdoors whatever the weather due to our new outdoor classroom where we can draw, paint, build or use our imagination in other ways.

Even our younger babies can experience life under the trees at Newark as their designated outdoor decking area is over looked by the canopy of the trees, providing wonderful shade in the summer months.

Our nursery at Newark plays a huge part in family’s lives, with many of our children being the second and third generation of children using the nursery and many of them being with us from tiny babies to grown up 4 year olds, ready for their next adventures at school! Our nursery team work hard to build close and secure relationships with the whole family ensuring that the support network they provide meets the needs of ‘their’ children.

We are proud to have well-qualified and experienced staff so that when our children leave us to go to school, they leave with a wealth of knowledge and experience that often sets them apart from their peers. Our nursery ensures that every day is a day filled with fun and adventure. This is not only enjoyed by the children but by our enthusiastic, caring staff team who believe that children should have the opportunity to learn and develop in their own unique style.
