People Who Help us at Children 1st @ Shepshed
The children at Shepshed have been finding out about the people who help them to live safer and happier lives.
A visit from the Police always causes much excitement. The children enjoyed meeting the officers and trying on various parts of the Police uniform and learning about the kit the officers carry. The Police officers told the children that they welcome people saying, “Hello,” if they see them outside of nursery.
Being shown around the police car was a great hit with the children. They loved watching the bright, flashing lights. Thank-you to the local Shepshed Community Officers for coming in to talk to the children about how they help people in the community.
We were pleased to welcome grandparents to nursery for our celebration of ‘Grandparent’s Day.’ Busy parents know how invaluable the support given by grandparents can be and of course the children love the attention from these special family members.
We used their visit as a great opportunity to show them the newly refurbished room. The grandparents sat and ate snacks, talked about what they liked about nursery with the children and had a play in our fabulous new room. Thank-you to all the grandparents who joined us to celebrate ‘Grandparent’s Day.’
