Learning about Healthcare at Children 1st Toton!

Last week at our Toton nursery, the children explored the topic of ‘Healthcare’. The Early Years children had a special visit from Miss Kate the Training Manager.

Miss Kate taught the children some basic First Aid skills, such as how to apply bandages and how to place someone in the recovery position.

The children practiced their skills on their friends and Miss Kate’s teddy mascot and were especially good at applying the bandages.

Miss Kate also spoke to the children about the process of what to do in an emergency such as getting a grown up to help or calling 999 if they have too and together we practiced dialling 999 on the paper phones.

At the end the children were very proud to receive their special First Aid stickers and participation certificates.

A big thank you to Miss Kate for visiting the nursery and making this experience possible. The children absolutely loved it and have speaking about it all week!
