Blast Off at Children 1st @ Hathern
The ‘Space’ topic at Hathern has been launched and the children are enthusiastically learning all about the great beyond through a series of out of this world activities.
Who wouldn’t love dressing up as an astronaut before stepping out for a moon walk! The children were delighted to put on the astronaut costumes with their friends and to find out about why this special clothing is so important in helping astronauts in their space exploration.
The children also explored a space sensory tray with flour and a sprinkle of orange powder paint to change the colour of the flour. They used paint brushes to make marks in the flour, making their own planet outlines in the flour as well as using the cardboard cones to make circles.
Good exploring Early Years!
