A Trio of November Celebrations at Children 1st @ Birstall
November is such a busy month with so many events taking place. Our Birstall nursery is pleased to share with you the highlights of their activities to mark Bonfire Night, Remembrance Day and Children in Need.
For their bonfire celebrations the children used their creative talents to make bonfire pictures using a variety of materials and resources. The early years added colourful leaves to their pictures which made a beautiful flame effect. Benjamin Bunnies were also busy making edible treats such as candy apples decorated with melted chocolate and coloured sprinkles. After such a lovely day, all the children sat down to enjoy some yummy hotdogs and bonfire cupcakes.
Poppies were the theme of our activities to mark Remembrance Day. The children enjoyed sticking and painting using different materials. The early years made some delicious treats to take home. They transformed rice cakes into poppies by decorating them with coloured icing sugar and raisins.
Children in Need saw everyone getting hands on with their Pudsey pictures, getting messy in the yellow cornflour play and icing their biscuits.
A big thank you to all our parents for the lovely cakes and the generous donations for Children in Need.
