Young Archaeologists at Work at Children 1st @ Toton
Digging in sand is always fun, especially when it involves looking for dinosaur bones!
The Early Years’ children have been learning about prehistoric creatures and fossils and so we decided to have our own ‘dig.’ Various tools such as small shovels have been used to dig for the bones and then brushes helped to gently wipe off any excess sand.
The children then used rulers and tape measures to measure the bones and made comparisons of size.
Our young archaeologists really got involved in this activity and worked so well together!
