World Book Day Fun at Children 1st @ Main Street and Toton
With Alice in Wonderland and Harry Potter, not to mention staff dressed as characters from Julia Donaldson books, the children at Main Street and Toton enjoyed an action packed World Book Day. There were so many brilliant costumes on show as the children loved the opportunity to look at each others outfits and match the character to the book.
At Toton it was great to see after school club children getting involved and sharing their knowledge of books and authors. The little ones enjoyed listening to their favourite stories and acting them out using the story board.
Over at Main Street, the under 2’s shared some of their favourite books, including ‘Goldilocks’, ‘Hello, Goodbye’ and ‘Toddle Waddle.’
Peter Rabbits were busy with their story board, sticking on the characters as Miss Beth read the story. In grand style, the early years staff rose to the challenge of dressing as a character from a Julia Donaldson book. Add to this the fun of playing in the fairy themed tuff spot and it’s little wonder everyone enjoyed their action packed World Book Day.
Thank-you to parents and carers at Main Street and Toton for providing such fabulous costumes and to all the staff for entering into the spirit of the day.
