World Book Day 2025 at Children 1st Nurseries
World Book Day is an annual event dedicated to changing the lives of children through a love of books and shared reading.
It’s also a brilliant opportunity for us to get together to celebrate the joy of reading.
Why is sharing stories so important? It’s fun and opens the door to creativity and imagination. It’s such a positive experience for adults and children to share a precious few moments and of course, books help to stimulate the development of children’s language and other skills.
As Dr. Seuss wrote,”You can find magic wherever you look. Sit back and relax, all you need is a book!”
Thank-you to everyone who supported World Book Day. Our wonderful families who provided such fantastic costumes really helped to make World Book Day 2025 extra special. We loved talking about the costumes the children and the staff were wearing and sharing their favourite books. The children have delighted in activities such as making bookmarks, book covers, making Gruffalo crumble and having picnics. This fabulous day was a treat for all in the lovely March sunshine.
Our photo gallery presents a round-up of some of the fabulous costumes and wonderful books that got us all sharing books, smiling and having fun!
