Winnie the Pooh Day at Children 1st @ Newark
The children loved celebrating Winnie the Pooh Day. This special day is held each year to commemorate the birth in 1882 of the author A A Milne who created the stories about this most famous, honey-loving bear and his friends.
The children came to nursery dressed in Winnie the Pooh attire and enjoyed reading about the adventures in the Hundred Acre woods. We ended the day by baking a treat to take home with us all, a Winnie the Pooh biscuit.
“Winnie the Pooh has a red jumper like me,” said Max. He certainly did Max which is why we decorated our biscuits with red icing sugar. We hope they tasted as good as they looked!
