Welcome to our New Arrivals at Children 1st @ Oakwood

We are delighted to welcome two new additions to our growing animal family here at Oakwood. Named Custard and Cream, the two goats are joining their brothers Oreo and Bourbon to enjoy all the benefits of our small holding.

It’s just over a year since Oreo and Bourbon, two pygmy goats, arrived at Oakwood from Matlock Farm Park. The children love helping to care for them and we’re sure the new arrivals will be very well looked after by many helping hands.

The children are patiently waiting for Custard and Cream to settle into their new home before they go and say a very big, “Hello.” We love the names of the new goats which, just like Oreo and Bourbon were chosen by the children.

We’re all looking forward to seeing the new goats thriving alongside their siblings. We hope you enjoy clicking through the photos showing their arrival. Thanks to the excellent TLC from children and staff, they have certainly thrived!
