Walking on the Moon at Children 1st @ Meir Park

As part of our current topic ‘Space, Planets, Aliens and Robots’ the children in the Early Years’ room have been walking on the Moon! They put on their Astronaut suits and moon boots, and walked over the moon leaving lots of footprints. Later on in the week they found out about what astronauts eat whilst in space and tasted some astronaut food too. We all prefer our cooked lunches at nursery!

Talking of space food, the Early Years decided to make some edible moon cakes. They placed all the ingredients into a bowl and then used their hands to shape the mixture into rock shapes.  Yummy!

They’ve also been busy painting paper plate planets with the children choosing which planet they wanted to create on their plate. Such fun and some great outcomes. Well done Early Years!
