Volcanic Eruptions at Children 1st @ Syston

The children have had an amazing time carrying out a rather special science experiment which caused  a lot of excitement!

Miss Alice introduced the ‘Volcano Experiment’ and explained each piece of equipment and the steps needed to carry out the experiment.

The children were then asked to predict what they thought would happen. We had some great answers.

During the experiment the children were very focused and maintained concentration throughout watching as the volcano erupted. They were eager to see if their predictions were correct.

Well, the reaction of the vinegar and the baking soda certainly made a mess and the foam did explode everywhere, so it looks as though the predictions were spot on. Well done to our young scientists at Syston.
