Twinkle, Jeremy and Nutty from Children 1st @ Acorns Upper Tean Visit the Vet!
The time had come for our three rabbits to visit the vet for their annual health check and for their vaccinations to be updated.
Fortunately, Parker’s mum was on hand to help as she is a nurse at the vets. Kerry took them along to the vets for us and, as the children were curious to know what happens during the check-up, she kindly sent us some photographs and a report to help us understand what is involved in the health assessment.
Everyone was pleased to hear that the rabbits were in good health. Eyes, ears, teeth and coat were all in good condition. The heart rates were nice and calm. Body score wise they were all in good shape and noted to be having a moult. Their coats were checked for any parasites and that came back as all clear. The children loved the photo of what rabbit hair looks like under a microscope!
Kerry reported that our rabbits were very brave! Thank-you to Kerry for keeping us updated on their visit to the vets. We hope you enjoy looking through the photographs as much as the children did.
