The Joy of Play at Children 1st @ Acorns Upper Tean

Whether splashing in the soapy water or mark making with chalk, there’s so much to discover during our play at Children 1st Nurseries.

Here at Acorns the Benjamin Bunnies loved exploring through water play. With aprons on, it was time to choose their first container and get in on the action. Filling, emptying, turning, scooping, the children were soon engrossed in the activity as the inviting bubbly water brought such delight. Other containers were tried and new words such as ‘swooshing’ and ‘swishing’ were used as the Benjamin Bunnies enhanced their knowledge and understanding of the world around them through play. Little wonder that the joy of water play is always a popular activity at our nurseries.

Our Bobtails meanwhile headed off outside to discover how to make marks using chunky chalk. After choosing their colour, our young artists set about making the shed look bright as they moved the chalk in different directions to make their marks. Such fun and great work Bobtails!
