Spring Rolls to Bubble Wrap at Children 1st at Leek Pre-School
Our celebration of the Chinese New Year, the year of the Rat, was brought to life with a range of activities. Food is always an important part of a celebration so the children were busy preparing the vegetables for the spring rolls and they made a great job of chopping them into such small pieces. Then there were noodles to try, not an easy task when using chop sticks! As always, the prawn crackers were a firm favourite!
Are you a fan of bubble wrap? Do you love the joy of popping the bubbles? Or perhaps like us here at Leek you’ve discovered that bubble wrap can be used for some creative adventures. Scrunched up and dipped into paint we found that old bubble wrap can be reused as a great tool for printing. Even more fun can be had by fastening the bubble wrap around your feet and going for a walk along a piece of paper! These activities were inspired by National Bubble Wrap Appreciation Day, an American celebration of this bubble-licious material.
