Sports Day Action at Children 1st @ Main Street
As part of our Healthy Lifestyles topic, the children were eagerly anticipating our Main Street Sports Day.
The children came to nursery ready prepared, dressed in sports clothes and all of them undertook some sport activities within their groups.
In the afternoon our Early Years children invited their parents to come along and watch them taking part. We started the session by doing some warm up moves listening to Jack Hartman ‘Count to 100’. After the warm up it was time for the main event!
The children split into two teams and took part in team activities which included a relay race, bean bag throwing and passing the ball through their legs. To finish the games, they all took part in an individual race, supported by the enthusiastic spectators.
It was then time for the parent sack race! The parents were really excited by this opportunity! All the children loved seeing the parents involved and cheered them on to see who would cross the finish line first.
Thank you to all the children for taking part in Sports Day and to the parents who came along to support and take part.
