Space! Whatever Next! at Children 1st @ Oakwood Derby

Our Early Years and Peter Rabbits have loved getting involved with our space themed activities. They have been busy counting down from five and blasting off into space, just like Baby Bear in the ‘Whatever Next’ story by Jill Murphy. Role playing this story has been tremendous fun, with the children wearing colanders as space helmets and climbing into boxes for their journey to the moon.

The Early Years are enjoying a  wide range of other space themed activities, getting messy with papier-mâché to make planets and using the ‘Whatever Next’ tuff spot to explore the solar system.  Along the way, aliens have been encountered and the children were more than happy to transform themselves into these creatures from other planets!
