Simple Pleasures at Children 1st @ St. Peter and St. Paul
A cardboard box, such a simple item, brought so much joy to our babies as they explored it in many different ways.
Initially, our babies used their gross motor skills to climb onto and inside the box. Then they experimented by listening to the sounds they could make by banging on the box.
Our little ones also enjoyed bringing their own items into the box, dropping them in and listening to the sounds they made. A game of hidey boo had the children crawling around in the box and covering their faces with different materials.
A simple cardboard box brought such a range of experiences to the children and prompted so much laughter!
Meanwhile the Peter Rabbits were hard at work building their own little den. They used natural and man-made materials to create a wonderful hiding place where the dinosaurs couldn’t find them. So exciting!
