Shape and Colour at Children 1st @ Main Street
Every month our Early Years’ children focus their learning around our shape, colour, number and letter of the week.
Last week they were learning about the star shape and the colour yellow. After discussing what they could use the colour yellow for, the children decided to make a large scale painting using their feet.
The children really enjoyed the feel of the paint on their feet and looking at the paper afterwards to find their footprints. It was so much fun!
After the paint was dry they used the printed paper to make star shapes. The children carefully cut around the star shape using child friendly scissors. We could really see the concentration on their faces!
The children were very proud of their stars once they had cut them out. Well done everyone!
