Remembrance Day Activities at Children 1st @ Bilborough, Main Street and Newark - Children 1st Day Nurseries

Remembrance Day Activities at Children 1st @ Bilborough, Main Street and Newark

Across our nurseries the children have been engaging in activities to mark Remembrance Day.

At Newark the children gathered around their remembrance tree which they had decorated beautifully with poppies and held hands for two minutes of silence.

Red was the colour of the day for the Peter Rabbits at Main Street, As well as decorating their own biscuits with red icing and sparkles, they also had red playdough to mould and shape.

In Early Years at Main Street the children collected the leaves in the garden and used them to make a giant poppy. It was lots of fun finding the leaves and using the wheelbarrow to transport them.

Poppies were the theme of the day at Bilborough with the children using paint to make some lovely flowers. Red was also the theme of other activities and a giant red flower was made out of building bricks.
