Recycling Project at Children 1st @ St. Peter and St. Paul
Blue Group in Early Years have taken a keen interest in one of our information books which describes what happens to used plastic bottles. Since sharing the book, Blue Group have been talking about recycling and what useful items we can make from our recycled junk. The book describes how to make bird feeders from plastic bottles so the children decided to give it a go!
They sorted all the plastic bottles from the junk and, equipped with string and bird food, headed down to the woods. While walking down to the woods, the children discussed the best locations for the feeders and how the food would help the birds.
All the children loved getting involved in this recycling project and were excited to see the outcome. We can’t wait to visit the woods next time to see if the birds have made use of the feeders.
