People Who Help Us at Children 1st @ Newark
As the children find out about the world around them, we talk about the work of some special grown-ups who help to keep us healthy and safe.
We were pleased to welcome both the East Midlands Ambulance Service and Nottingham Fire and Rescue to Newark so the children could find out more about their work and the special equipment they use. Being able to try on protective clothing and look at the specialist vehicles is always an exciting part of these visits. The children learned about the number 999, when and how to use it and so as well as learning about people who help us, they are also being introduced to what they can do in an emergency to help others.
Thank you so much to both services for taking time out to support our children’s learning about people who help us.
