People Who Help Us at Children 1st @ Clowne

We would like to thank PC Fox and her colleague who visited nursery recently as part of our ‘People Who Help Us’ topic.

The Early Years children took part in a workshop led by PC Fox, who spoke about how the Police help us and how important it is for the children to feel they can approach the police if they need help.

The children had spent time in the morning thinking of lots of questions to ask and as the selection below shows, we had some really good ones.

“How fast does your police car go?

“Is it a career?” asked Luca. What a grown-up question Luca!

“Do you put the bad guys in jail?”

“What colour are your handcuffs?”

The children then had the opportunity to take a look around the police car, pressing all of the different buttons and putting on the sirens!
