Official Opening of Children 1st @ Oakwood

Thank you to everyone who came along and helped us celebrate the official opening of Children 1st – Oakwood and the launch of The Margaret Mason OBE Children 1st Trust. We are so proud of all the hard work our teams have put in over the past two years to create  Children 1st – Oakwood.  We hope it will be enjoyed by children in Derby for generations.

As the sun shone, it was wonderful to see so many parents, friends and children  exploring the nursery’s extensive outdoor areas and relaxing on the beautiful lawns. We hope all our visitors had a great day!

We are pleased to say that our various stalls raised £1017 which will be split between the Trust and the HOPE Centre DERBY Foodbank.

The trim trail is just one of the features of the outdoor area and as the photos show the Benjamin Bunnies loved their recent  adventure to explore this area. The children enjoyed climbing, balancing and jumping on the different equipment, saying hello to our ducklings and had lots of fun using the speaking tube to talk to each other.

After this there were more discoveries to be made in the forest!  The Benjamin Bunnies loved exploring our new outdoor spaces and are very excited to go on more adventures very soon!!

Our Oakwood nursery holds regular events in the community room so please check out our Facebook page for upcoming events. Bookings are now being taken for baby massage classes which start in September.
