Learning about how plants grow at Children 1st @ Main Street

The children in Peter Rabbits have been learning about how plants grow.

The children went outside in the garden and each took a sunflower seed. Miss Hayley spoke to the children about how the sunflower seed will grow into a tall yellow flower.

Miss Hayley asked the children where do they put their sunflower seek to grow, ‘in the soil’. Each child took it in turns to put soil into their pot using the spade, and carefully placed the sunflower seed into the soil.

Once the seeds were tucked into the soil, they watered their pots.

We can’t wait to see how big the sunflowers grow!!
