Junk Robots at Children 1st @ Toton
The children in Early Years have re-visited the concept of recycling and have been using an assortment of waste materials to create junk modelled robots.
The children were fantastic at selecting boxes and deciding how to join them together. They showed good skills in using the scissors and showed their independence and creativity in designing and making their models.
Once the Robots were joined together the children then decorated them using paper materials and paints and added other items such as bottle lids and stickers to represent the eyes, buttons and controls.
This activity also prompted some discussion about the names and properties of 3D shapes.
Great work Early Years! You really used your imaginations and making skills to create these fantastic model robots. What a wonderful start to 2025!
