Jumpers and Christingles at Children 1st @ Grantham
What beautiful jumpers and outfits we saw at Grantham as everyone joined in raising funds for Save the Children. We’ve also been spreading Christmas cheer by doing some fun-filled activities all over nursery including dancing to Christmas music in babies, exploring festive playdough in Peter Rabbits and making Christmas crackers in Early Years. Well done everyone!
The Early Years’ children have enjoyed making Christingles and learning about the importance of the Christian festival that aims to spread the love of Jesus. They used oranges to represent our world, spaghetti as the different countries and a variety of sweets to represent people. The red ribbon wrapped around the Christingle represents our love.
Whilst making their Christingles, the children talked about the things and people they love. Sebastian said, “I love my daddy, he makes robots with me.” Zuzanna said, “I love Elsa because she sings so lovely!” Beautiful comments and some great Christingles! Happy Christmas everyone.
The children concentrated very hard trying to poke the spaghetti in the oranges. They even learnt a new word ‘Fragile’, as the spaghetti kept breaking! The children were very excited to show their Christingles to their parents when they went home.
