It’s Blast Off at Children 1st @ Meir Park

Early Years had a very special visitor recently who came to share her scientific knowledge helping to create some exciting activities linked to our ‘Space’ topic.

Sam, who is one of our parents at nursery, happens to be a science teacher. She very kindly volunteered to make rockets with the children. The children had an excellent time learning about what was needed to make the rockets fly. They engaged beautifully as they mixed the materials together themselves with their safety goggles on!

We all counted down from 5 as we waited for the rockets to set off. The room was quickly filled with laughter as the rockets blasted off around us!

We would like to say a huge thank you to Sam for giving her time and sharing this amazing activity. We loved it!
