Healthy Lifestyles at Children 1st at St. Peter and St. Paul
In Early Years the children enjoyed a ‘Special Person Day’ when some of our dads, uncles and grandads came in to share a fun football session. We warmed up with our ‘wake-up shake-up’ routine and practiced some football skills. Our special visitors really entered into the spirit of the session and the children were delighted to have them join in.
Mr Harvey, our healthy eating mascot, came to help us with our ‘wake-up shake-up’ routine, making sure we were all warming up for our day and being active. Everyone in nursery loves these active starts to the day.
The children also had their own PE day where we all had a go at getting changed and then headed out onto the garden/field to do races and movement activities. This helped to prepare the Early Years for getting changed when they go to school.
Then to end our topic we had a dress up day, where everyone came in their sporty outfits and held fun/silly dress up races outside in the garden.
This topic has helped the children to gain so much knowledge about why we exercise and how it helps to keep our bodies healthy.
Thank-you to everyone who joined us for our ‘Special Person Day.’ We hope you enjoy the slideshow showing some of our ‘Healthy Lifestyle’ activities.
