Harvest For Others at Children 1st @ St Peter and St Paul
The children at St. Peter and St. Paul have had a great time dressing up as scarecrows and singing songs to celebrate harvest festival. This was also a time for thinking of others as we invited families to make a contribution to our harvest hamper which was to be donated to the Chesterfield Food Bank.
Early years children met a representative from the Chesterfield Food Bank, Jacqueline, who talked to them about how the food donated by our families helps those in need, and what to do at a food bank if needed.
The children gathered together all the amazing donations from our wonderful families and helped Jacqueline load up her car to transport our harvest collection to the food bank.
A big thanks to everyone who donated much needed items to fill our hamper and in so doing helped to improve the lives of others at a time of need.
