Happy Chinese New Year at Children 1st @ Newark Town

Happy Chinese New Year!  Here at Newark Town we made special lanterns, listened to Chinese music and sampled some Chinese  food using chopsticks. The children made comments such as, “I like noodles. I have them at home.”  Everyone tried hard with the chopsticks when we were having our tasting session. “We get the food with the chopsticks it’s tricky,”said one child. It certainly was, but well done everyone for having a go!

The traditional Chinese music was popular even though it was different to what we usually listen to and brought a lovely atmosphere to nursery as we found out about how the Chinese New Year is celebrated.
