Gruffalo Scavenger Hunt at Children 1st @ Newark Town
Peter Rabbits have been enjoying exploring the story “The Gruffalo,” their story of the month.
This rhyming story by Julia Donaldson, tells of how a mouse invents tales of a fantastical creature called the Gruffalo in order to scare off his enemies.
The children created caves for the Gruffalo and the other characters in the story using wooden blocks. They also crafted owls out of clay. Whilst exploring the garden, the children took part in a scavenger hunt looking for characters from the story and also hunted for autumn pictures. The children loved exploring the garden and at their request, we had to hide the characters for a second time and have another hunt.
We’re looking forward to more Gruffalo adventures inspired by this wonderful book.
