Global Outdoor Classroom Day at Children 1st @ Grantham

Outdoor Classroom Day is a global movement to inspire and celebrate outdoor learning and play. It aims to make time outdoors for playing and learning part of every child’s day.

Time outdoors improves children’s health, supports engagement in learning and leads to a greater connection with nature. Play not only teaches critical life skills such as resilience, teamwork, and creativity, but is central to children’s enjoyment of childhood.

The children here at Grantham, and across all Children 1st Day Nurseries, always benefit from time in the great outdoors. Embracing the outdoors is part of our DNA and children of all ages can be found in the fresh air enjoying a range of activities!

For our special celebration of outdoor learning the children loved adventures such as going on bug hunts and ticking their findings off their checklists, riding the bikes, making different marks with the mud paints, and completing obstacle courses.
