First Nursery Council Meeting at Children 1st @ Oakwood, Derby

Happy New Year!

The children in early years at Oakwood have held their very first nursery council meeting. The councillors met and discussed the important points on their agendas. Firstly they talked about what made them happy at nursery and what they enjoyed doing. Black panther, superheroes and the guitar were top of the list!

When discussing what they might like to change they said that  they would all like their mummies and daddies to stay for the day and join in with the fun activities! Together the team came up with ideas of things we can do to involve our families more in nursery life.  Some ideas were a holiday bear and family books.
The children also spoke about what they would like to learn about. They decided they would like a space centre to explore and to make space rockets and would also like to look at dinosaurs more!!
The children made notes on their agendas and finished off all that hard work with a piece of chocolate cake and a drink! Well done everyone!
