Exploring Autumn at Children 1st @ Toton!

Now that Autumn has arrived, the children in Early Years at our Toton nursery have been busy learning all about the season!

The children took home special Autumn bags to collect Autumn treasures with their families at the weekend.

The children then returned the bags back to nursery and used them for lots of different activities.

One of the activities that the children really enjoyed was creating a large scale transient art piece in the garden.

The children used wooden and natural materials to create a tree using logs and sticks, and then added on lots of other natural materials including leaves, pinecones and conkers.

To finish off their piece of art, the children selected some of their Autumn treasure pieces from their bags and placed them onto the tree.

As you can see from the pictures it looked absolutely fantastic.
