Creative Magic at Children 1st @ Buckinghams
The early years children have been using their creative talents making a fairy garden using everyday materials such as electrical cable reels, wooden pegs and lollipop sticks. All the children helped to design and build this wonderful small world house. It was themed alongside the children’s interests when reading the magical story of Tinker Bell.
There will be more to come as we continue to create other small world areas focusing on themes such as ‘People Who Help Us’ and ‘Dinosaurs.’
The Festival of Eid which is celebrated by Muslims around the world to mark the end of Ramadan, also inspired some creativity. The early years delighted in making moon and star mobiles and printing colourful patterns using a range of shapes.
Pirates invaded the nursery for a week of swashbuckling fun. The colourful pirate costumes sparked plenty of lively chatter before the children set to work making their pirate flags. Early years and Peter Rabbits brought the pirate theme to life through their role play and walking the plank was a great opportunity for our young pirates to practise their balancing skills.
Thank-you to all parents and carers who provided such brilliant costumes for their little ones.
