Children in Need Day at Children 1st Day Nurseries Part One
The BBC Children in Need Day is always a time for celebration at Children 1st nurseries. Pudsey Bear, along with our own Mr Harvey Bear, is one of our favourite characters.
Children in Need is marking its 40th anniversary this year and at a time of great hardship as a result of Covid-19, the appeal needs everyone’s support more than ever. The Appeal has raised over £1 billion since its launch in 1980 to help make a difference to the lives of disadvantaged children and young people around the UK.
Here’s some highlights of what’s been happening so far at some of our nurseries.
Miss Michelle from Rosemary Lane showed the Early Years’ creative talents making a fabulous Pudsey Bear out of herbs and paint. All kinds of tools such as scrapers, brushes and jugs were used to make Pudsey.
The Benjamin Bunnies and Peter Rabbits at Meir Park arrived dressed for fun in their silly shirts. They loved decorating Pudsey biscuits and went on to design some very silly shirts!
The Peter Rabbits continued the fun by making Pudsey biscuits and having Pudsey face paint.
The children at Leicester were thrilled to be having a pyjama day. They made Pudsey biscuits and enjoyed playing in their Pudsey themed sensory tuff spot. Their Pudsey pictures were great!
At Clowne the children looked a picture in their Pudsey themed outfits as they cheerfully posed for pictures, having had such fun with all their themed activities.
As the photos show, a great day has been had by all! Thank-you to all parents and carers for your support.
