Children in Need at Children 1st @ Newark Town and Oakwood

The BBC Children in Need Appeal is always a time for celebration at Children 1st nurseries. Pudsey Bear is one of our favourite characters.

The core vision of Children In Need is to ensure that every child across the UK experiences a childhood that’s safe, happy and secure. The appeal champions and raises awareness of the the numerous organisations that tackle the diverse challenges faced by children and young people nationwide, whilst also raising valuable funds for these charities.

So far this year over £33,000,000 has been raised for a host of worthy causes.

Typical of many of our nurseries, Children 1st @ Newark Centre and at Oakwood enjoyed a fun-filled day with a wide range of Pudsey and yellow themed activities. Parents were welcomed to join the fun at Newark.

Baking has also been the flavour of the week at many nurseries, with decorations inspired by the wonderful Pudsey. Oakwood turned their cake sale into a little competition to see which of the cakes decorated by children and staff would be voted the best. Mr Simon’s daughter kindly made a huge chocolate fudge cake which was raffled off to raise additional funds.

Thank-you to all our parents across Children 1st nurseries for going that extra mile to help raise much needed funds for Children in Need.

We hope you enjoy looking through our photos of our Children in Need activities at Newark Town and Oakwood. Look out for others on Facebook.
