Brilliant Bobtails at Children 1st @ Plumtree

Wow! How busy are the Bobtails at Plumtree? From printing hearts to handling crazy foam they have been having a super February.

Bobtails 2 started the month with some immersive activities inspired by the beautiful book ‘Where’s George’s Dinosaur?’ Having shared the story and the illustrations the Bobtails were keen to engage in dinosaur themed small world play. They enjoyed the sensory experience of using their fingers to play with the coloured rice, oats and flour as they moved the dinosaurs around. New words such as stamp and stomp were used as the children added their own roars when the dinosaurs moved.

The huge smiles on the faces of the Bobtails show how thrilled they were with the crazy foam activity. One can only imagine the laughter and giggles this activity produced. The staff seemed to enjoy it as much as the Bobtails! Such fun to brighten the dark February days.

Most recently, using cookie cutters to create Valentine’s Day pictures saw the Bobtails making heart shaped pink marks on red paper. They all enjoyed looking at the hearts as they appeared on the paper. Well-done Bobtails!
