Best Day Ever at Children 1st @ St. Peter and St. Paul

What a day it has been! We have had lots of activities happening today. All week we have had Easter bonnets arriving in nursery ready for our Easter bonnet competition. The competition was tough, and our lovely cooks Miss Gina and Miss Liz had a hard job choosing our top 3! As you can see, we had a fantastic turn out.

Our Early Years monthly topic has been life cycles. We like to make it into a ‘friendly’ competition between our Early Years groups. Our Red group researched and studied the life cycle of a dinosaur. It was fantastic! The children made a paper mache dinosaur egg and made a big dinosaur out of cardboard boxes.

Our Green group voted and decided they were going to study a penguin. Children and staff showed great courage and understanding when presenting their findings. Our Blue group chose the life cycle of a butterfly. They presented their findings in the best way they knew how … through song and dance. Again, the competition was tough, but Miss Jade and Miss Lisa decided Red group were the winners this month. Congratulations Red group.

In the night the Easter bunny had been down into the woods and hidden all of his eggs ready for our egg hunt. The excitement that was in the air echoed around the woods as the children raced around to find all the eggs. We truly had THE BEST DAY EVER!
