Beat 64 Visits Children 1st @ Hathern

The children across all our nurseries delight in having special visitors, especially when those visitors arrive in an exciting Police van.

At our Hathern nursery everyone enjoyed a surprise visit from two Police officers who came along to talk to the children about how they help our community to be a safe place. The officers talked about how the children could keep themselves safe and ringing 999 in an emergency.

Being able to try on some of the Police uniform is always a great hit with the children and they had such fun trying on the helmets. The Police talked about the key items on their utility belts which fascinated the children.

Perhaps best of all was the opportunity to explore the Police van. Taking turns to sit inside and switch on the flashing blue lights and the sirens was such a thrill.

What a fun day! Thank you to officers from Charnwood Police, Beat 64, who brought such a wonderful experience to our nursery.
