An Autumn Thank-You from Children 1st @ Sheffield
It’s time for a big ‘Thank-you’ to all our families and the staff who have worked together to provide the children with a range of wonderful seasonal activities.
Our Harvest collection in support of the Sheffield Archer Project was very well supported and we were pleased that this was a bumper harvest thanks to the generosity of our families. Ella from the project visited us to deliver a workshop to Early Years where she talked about what the donations would be used for and how they would benefit the lives of others. Thank-you to everyone for making a difference to someone’s life at a time of need.
As our activities turned to Cat and Pumpkin Day, we were amazed by the truly creative pumpkins on show for our pumpkin competition. As voted for by the children the winners were Ina in our Early Years unit and Lexie in our Peter Rabbit 1. Thank-you to all who took part.
Bobtails enjoyed their treat week as they were very hands on exploring all things Autumn. From our wonderful Autumn-themed sensory trays to our exciting creative activities, the children have loved discovering all of the wonderful things this season brings! The children have been encouraged to freely explore the variety of textures, colours, smells and sounds around them whilst engaging in numerous creative and malleable activities which focus on developing their communication, language and motor skills.
Finally, another huge ‘Thank-you,’ to everyone who supported our Cat and Pumpkin Day. Such an effort was clearly put into the creation of some amazing costumes which helped us all to have a fun-filled, happy day.
The support received by our Sheffield nursery is typical of that provided by our families and communities across all Children 1st nurseries and we are so grateful to everyone for their continued input in making our nurseries such good places to be.
