A Celebration of Eid at Children 1st @ Sheffield
The children at Sheffield had a wonderful time celebrating Eid, the Muslim festival which marks the end of Ramadan. They were keen to find out about the festival and how it is celebrated.
The morning was spent making party hats and popping in to the hairdressers in our ‘small world area’ for a quick hairdo. The children had the opportunity to have their hands decorated with henna patterns and loved having a go at making some of their own patterns.
The food tasting session where the children had the opportunity to taste traditional foods was very popular. The samosas and onion bhajis went down a treat!
The fun didn’t stop there as no celebration would be complete without music and dancing. The children listened to some traditional music and then learned a traditional dance routine.
We all had so much fun celebrating Eid.We hope you enjoy looking through the photographs.
