A Busy Festive Season at Children 1st @ Buckinghams

A Busy Festive Season at Children 1st @ Buckinghams

Each morning the children have arrived at nursery full of excitement to discover just what mischief the ‘elf on the shelf’ has been up to each night! Nothing too serious we hope and all good fun!

The theme of ‘Christmas Around the World’ has gripped the imaginations of the children and provided the opportunity for creative activities. The early years’ children have created yule logs, candy canes and poinsettia flowers.

Customs such as carol singing and Christingle services have been discussed and each child made their own Christingle to take home.

Christmas is the time for sharing and so the early years paid a visit to Abbey Court to entertain the residents by singing their favourite carols and Christmas songs.

We all know that Santa deserves a special treat for delivering presents and the Peter Rabbits have been busy practising their mince pie making skills. The pies looked very tasty and Santa was impressed when he joined us for our Christmas party.

Some of the children enjoyed posting letters to Santa and were delighted when they received a reply from him. Other children brought in a thank you letter for our nursery cook, Miss Phoebe, to say thank you for all of the delicious food at nursery.

Merry Christmas to everyone! We hope you have a jolly festive season and a wonderful 2019.
